Londra&#8217;da kalmaya daha fazla dayanamad\u0131 ve ayn\u0131 galerinin Paris \u015fubesine ge\u00e7ti. Gaugin&#8217;le ciddi bir tart\u0131\u015fma ya\u015fayan Van Gogh, iddialara g\u00f6re usturayla Gaugin&#8217;i usturayla kovalad\u0131 ve h\u0131rs\u0131n\u0131 alamay\u0131p kendi sa\u011f kulak memesini kesti. Kendisine ait bu par\u00e7ay\u0131 civarlardaki bir genelevde tan\u0131d\u0131\u011f\u0131 fahi\u015feye teslim etti. \u00c7e\u015fitli tarih\u00e7ilerin inceledikleri polis kay\u0131tlar\u0131na g\u00f6re asl\u0131nda Gaugin&#8217;in kulak memesini k\u0131l\u0131\u00e7la kesti\u011fine dair teoriler olmakla birlikte M\u00e9ni\u00e8re hastal\u0131\u011f\u0131ndan kaynakl\u0131 kulak \u00e7\u0131nlamas\u0131n\u0131 yat\u0131\u015ft\u0131rmak i\u00e7in kendi kula\u011f\u0131n\u0131 kesti\u011fi de s\u00f6ylenmektedir. <strong>M\u00e9ni\u00e8re hastal\u0131\u011f\u0131<\/strong> i\u00e7 kulakta a\u015f\u0131r\u0131 bas\u0131n\u00e7 nedeniyle ortaya \u00e7\u0131kan bir hastal\u0131kt\u0131r. Arles&#8217;taki Felix Ray ve di\u011fer doktorlar epilepsi tan\u0131s\u0131 koymu\u015flard\u0131. <strong>Epilepsi<\/strong> n\u00f6beti (yada krizi), beyin normal aktivitesinin, sinir h\u00fccrelerinde ge\u00e7ici olarak meydana gelen anormal elektriksel aktivite sonucu bozulmas\u0131 ile olu\u015fan klinik bir durumdur. Sonra kendi iste\u011fiyle gitti\u011fi ak\u0131l hastanesinde a\u015f\u0131r\u0131 heyecanl\u0131, insanlar\u0131 anl\u0131k olarak tan\u0131yan, ger\u00e7ek bir deliryumdan muzdarip, i\u015fitsel hal\u00fcsinasyonlar g\u00f6ren bir tablo olarak a\u00e7\u0131kland\u0131. Epileptik ataklar\u0131 ve semptomlar\u0131 daha detayl\u0131 incelendi\u011finde en olas\u0131 tan\u0131n\u0131n sikloid psikoz oldu\u011fu g\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcr. <strong>Psikoz<\/strong> kavram\u0131, g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde en belirgin belirtileri hal\u00fcsinasyon olan farkl\u0131 ruhsal hastal\u0131klar i\u00e7in bir \u00fcst kavram olarak kullan\u0131l\u0131yor. <strong>Sikloid psikoz<\/strong> herhangi bir sebebi olmaks\u0131z\u0131n ortaya \u00e7\u0131kan, kendi kendine s\u0131n\u0131rlanan ve tekrarlay\u0131c\u0131 psikotik bir tablodur. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Van Gogh vakas\u0131nda ki\u015filik bozuklu\u011fu ard\u0131ndan tekrarlayan psikotik n\u00f6betlerin g\u00f6r\u00fclmesi prefrontal ve limbik b\u00f6lgelerdeki a\u011flar\u0131n fonksiyonel bozuklu\u011funa ba\u011fl\u0131 geli\u015fmi\u015f olabilir. Bu olay da <strong>Gastaut- Geschwind<\/strong> sendromuyla a\u00e7\u0131klan\u0131yor. Beynin temporal b\u00f6lgesinde \u00e7e\u015fitli n\u00f6ronlar\u0131 aktifle\u015ftiren ve genelde epileptik n\u00f6betlerle ortaya \u00e7\u0131kan inhibit\u00f6r kontrol kayb\u0131d\u0131r. Bu kay\u0131p daha h\u0131zl\u0131 ve daha iyi bili\u015fsel becerilerin ortaya \u00e7\u0131kmas\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flayabilir. Semptomlar\u0131n g\u00f6r\u00fclmesi; genetik ve \u00e7evresel fakt\u00f6rlerin(duygusal stres, alkol, fiziksel yorgunluk vb.) etkile\u015fimleriyle ortaya \u00e7\u0131km\u0131\u015f olabilir. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>St. Remy&#8217;deyken yazd\u0131\u011f\u0131 mektuplar\u0131n birinde &#8220;Kar\u015f\u0131mdaki ki\u015fileri g\u00f6r\u00fcp tan\u0131sam bile, bazen bana \u00e7ok uzaktan gelmi\u015fler gibi geliyor ve ger\u00e7ekte olduklar\u0131ndan \u00e7ok farkl\u0131 g\u00f6r\u00fcn\u00fcyorlar.&#8221; ifadesiyle ya\u015fad\u0131\u011f\u0131 durumu \u00f6zetlemi\u015f. <strong>Prosopagnozi<\/strong>(insan y\u00fczleri tan\u0131yamama, ay\u0131ramama durumudur) ve <strong>mekansal agnozi<\/strong>(\u00f6zel bir duyu ya da haf\u0131za kayb\u0131n\u0131n olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 durumlarda nesneleri, ki\u015fileri, sesleri, \u015fekilleri, kokular\u0131 tan\u0131ma yetene\u011finin kayb\u0131d\u0131r. Buna klinikte<strong> kronik absint zehirlenmesi <\/strong>denir. Buna \u00f6zlemi, isteklili\u011fi ve cesaretiyle kendini d\u00fcnyaya adamas\u0131 hayat\u0131 boyunca muzdarip olaca\u011f\u0131 ac\u0131lar\u0131 do\u011furdu.
