Bazen g\u00fcn\u00fcn karma\u015fas\u0131ndan, bazen hayat\u0131n ak\u0131\u015f\u0131ndan ve bazen de beklentilerle ger\u00e7eklik uyu\u015fmad\u0131\u011f\u0131nda ger\u00e7eklikten ka\u00e7\u0131\u015f yolu olabilen hayaller k\u0131sa s\u00fcreli mutluluklar sa\u011flayabiliyor. Ancak bu mutluluk halleri, hayallerin dozaj\u0131 a\u015f\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131nda ve hayaller ya\u015fay\u0131\u015f\u0131n \u00f6n\u00fcne ge\u00e7meye ba\u015flad\u0131\u011f\u0131nda ger\u00e7eklikten kopmalara sebep oluyor. Maladaptive Daydreaming Sendromu adl\u0131 bu ger\u00e7eklikten kopu\u015f hali ilk kez 2002 y\u0131l\u0131nda Profes\u00f6r Eliezer Somer taraf\u0131ndan ortaya at\u0131lm\u0131\u015f ve maladaptive daydreaming, zamanla, ba\u015fka \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n da katk\u0131lar\u0131yla, baz\u0131 spesifik fakt\u00f6rler baz\u0131nda normal hayal kurma( daydreaming) deneyiminden ayr\u0131lm\u0131\u015f. Bunlar\u0131n yan\u0131nda MD ki\u015filerde bir anda geli\u015fmiyor ve \u2018\u2018daydreaming\u2019\u2019in MD\u2019ye d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcm\u00fcne neden olan fakt\u00f6rlerden de bahsetmek gerekiyor.
